MATT'S BIO

Matthew Tay is a composer, multi-instrumentalist and music teacher currently pursuing a BA in Music at LASALLE College Of The Arts majoring in Composition and Arrangement. Matthew is currently releasing original works under the pseudonym Mistrio and is also the guitarist of Singaporean band Building Fire. He attained his grade 8 with merit for guitar in 2013 through RockSchool and has been actively writing music and performing since.

Matthew likes to experiment with unusual combinations of music such as fusing classical music elements with heavy metal music. He also has a deep knowledge of rock music as it is a genre he grew up with since young and as such incorporates many elements of rock into the music that he plays and writes. After graduating from LASALLE, Matthew intends to pursue a career in film and video game music soundtrack and sound design.
